So Christmas Begins

To start off we head to Aunt Martha's house to make gram cracker house.  It was a lot of fun.  I particularly liked it because I grew up decorating ginger bread house during the Christmas season. So a lot of good memories.  My mom pretty much spoiled us.  And I loved it.  I remember Mom making all the houses by herself (I'm not sure if I just didn't help or if I was not allowed to help).  And she would stress out that they were all going to fall, but I don't remember any of them ever doing so. Hopefully I can make as good as houses as her someday.  Going to have to practice.

Anyways, We got some pictures of the houses, but not of the architects so there.

  1. Basically I made 1 or 2 batches of dough every day during naptime (you were in school) until I felt I had enough. Then every day (again during naptime) I'd bake and cut out the pieces. I'd take 5 or 6 weeks to do this so it is not likely you knew about it. The assembly part you do remember. I'd do that at night and you did help with supporting walls as needed. You also helped position cans to support the roof until icing hardened. Then, you are right, I would spend days thinking they'd all crash before the party. We have made as many as 40 houses at a time. We need to make them again. I think we need a new house pattern--you should create one.
