Easter Time

Ezra sitting in a basket at Aunt Kathleen's Easter Egg Hunt.

On the way home from Aunt Kathleen, we saw these 5 trucks looming before us. It was a little strange.

BYU Basketball Game

So my parents took us all to the BYU Basketball game.

Michael has been feeling sick this whole week and he's been busy with school, but he said he wanted to go to the game. When I went to find him when it was time to go, I found him asleep on the floor. So I left him at home.

Here are some pictures of the games

It was all fun until about the end of the game. Isaac got really tired. He had been awake since 3am. So James took the three of them into hallway area (I don't know the name of that thing). I then got a text from James saying "Can you come help?" (Luckily it came 4 minuets to 10. My phone stops receiving text at 10.) So I went down to find them and this is what I saw.
Despite all of the commotion going around him, he fell asleep on James' foot.
Violet was still having the time of her life.

Fun Foods

One Saturday, Michael said he was in the mood for some s'mores. Later that day we got a call from Erin asking if we wanted to do anything together. He mentioned s'mores and it turns out that it was a great plan.

This is Michael and I sharing my first Jamba Juice drink. We got it right before the store closed at 9:30.

Birthdays and Missions

So Isaac had a How to Train Your Dragon birthday party this week.

The children had to defeat the alpha dragon.
He had a Toothless cookie and cream cake. I thought it looked pretty good.

After the party Michael, Zach, Kaitlin, and I went up to Erin and David's house in Lehi, so that Kaitlin could open up her mission call. She was really eager to open it. She kept trying to peak in the clear window that had her name. But she couldn't see anything.
Waiting on the car ride up to Lehi.

So the video that's suppose to be here is not working well for me.  But She's going to JACKSON MISSISSIPPI!

 Opening the call.

August Happenings

Chas and Kylee stopped by on their way to teach in China for the semester. While they were here, we made a visit to the aquarium.
This is a picture of Michael and I watching the feeding of the penguins
We also tried to play a lot of games while they were here. Here's a cute picture of a niece.

Awhile back we found an old film camera of Michael's. We've slowly have been taking pictures with it. One weekend my Mom and Dad, James' family, and Michael and I went to Mt. Pleasant to the Wilde Cabin down there, were we watched movies, ate food, played some games, and visited family graves. I tried out my new dutch oven. We took most of the pictures with the old camera. We are still not done with the roll (we're on picture 23). But I snatched one of this view with my phone.
While at the cabin I made a goal of finishing knitting this blanket and reading a book. I met both my goals. (Side note this blanket only took me 2 years.)

I babysat these little wretched rats. We had a lot of fun.
Who knew that sharpening pencils could be so much fun.

Michael and I went to the West Ball that James and Charity put on. I didn't take any pictures because it's hard to take pictures while your having fun dancing. But here's a video of some of the more experienced dancers showing how to do the dance.

My mom and dad bought a house here in Utah, so we'll get them half the year! We had Sunday dinner there.

Family

So Michael's mom gave us some family names to take to the temple to do the baptisms for. We wanted to go with Zach, Michael's brother. We had the names for a little less than a year. It was hard to remember to talk to each other and plan a time to go. I started to feel so guilty about having those names for so long and having those ancestors just waiting for us to do the work. It didn't help with the guilt trip by hearing talks like this one from Elder Scott in General Conference: The Joy of Redeeming the Dead. But finally we went and got the baptisms done. Now we just have to do the other ordinances.

Here Michael, Zach, Erin, and David are moving Erin's and David's new couch up their stairs. As you can tell I'm taking a picture and not helping. Michael is the one in orange. Zach is the other person you can see. David is on the other side of the couch. And Erin somehow ended underneath the couch.
So I got these nice soup mugs for Christmas and had a need to make French Onion Soup in them. I made it with Gruyere cheese. For me, one bit of Gruyere cheese was really good, The more I had though I wasn't loving it.
