Fourth of July Fun.

Annabelle and I made it to the water fight.

Timpview Band Marching right outside.We live about a block away from the high school. We can often hear the band practicing in the morning, particularly the drums. Well, on the morning of the 3rd, Annabelle and I were chilling upstairs and I was listening to the band. I like to listen to them practice so I'm glad we live so close. I wanted to share this sentiment with James and made the comment, "I love listening to the band. It sounds like they're right outside our window." James looked up and said that they were right outside our window. And sure enough they were. Turns out they do this every year, but I'm usually at work. Annabelle liked listening to the band.

 We went to Grandma's house on the 4th after eating at Uncle Greg's House. We watched 1776.

 Other 4th of July activities that we did were to go to the Carillon concert and the Children's Parade. Michael and I did the Freedom Run while my mom and Violet tended to Annabelle. We did not go to the 4th of July Parade.

Annabelle is more interested in what is going on around her. I would be making something with her in a carrier facing out. And should would be reaching for whatever I was working on.

She can now roll from back to tummy to her right. Though she still prefers the left. She still learning to roll from tummy to back. I think it would be funny if she learns to crawl before she learns to roll from tummy to back. She likes to sleep on her side at the moment.

This tree died over the winter. So we got rid of it.

She's doing better at entertaining herself. So car rides are getting a bit better.

We had an extended family get together at Chuck-a-Rama. Michael really wanted a picture of Annabelle with her father, Grandma, and GreatGrandma.

Kaitlin came back from her mission from the south. This is a picture of all of the children born while she was away.

Annabelle is a funny one. She likes to watch people, but she doesn't necessarily like people. If people try to pick her up or play with her, she'll often cry. But if they are at a distant she will give them a big smile.

We often go on walks together. I'll either put her in the baby carrier or in the stroller. She prefers to be faced out in the baby carrier over the stroller.

Anthony's family came out to Utah for a week and a half. Their stay over lapped our ward's Fathers and Sons camp out. (Michael thinks it should be Father or Son camp out, because he's a father now, but has no sons). So My Dad; James, his two sons; Anthony, and his son; and Michael went to the camp out. And Violet really wanted to go, So we decided to have a girls retreat at Grandma's. We ate delicious foods, painted nails, did our hair, and watched Penelope (which I spelled correctly the first time! Go me).

Mom gave Annabelle a Cheetos to hold. By the way, Cheetos dust gets everywhere. This one Cheeto got dust all over Annabelle and me.

I made the cake from scratch. I did not make the frosting from scratch. But I did dye it yellow, blue, and red (it was called Christmas red, but in real life it looked pretty pink).

I love Annabelle's little mohawk.

Annabelle is playing more and more with toys.

At this point she is still only rolling from back to tummy to her left.

At her 4 month appointment she was weighing 11 lbs 15 oz, putting her heavier than 9 % of other 4 month olds.

Her length was 25", putting her taller than 59 % of others.

And her head circumference is in the 11th percentile.

She's very smiley baby. She likes to look at other. She's social, unless they try to hold her. Then she doesn't like them.

She kind of get that from me. I would not go to anyone but my mom, not even my dad, until Baby George was born. I was two when that happened.

Annabelle doesn't have to go to Pediatric Rehab any more for her toricollis. We just have to keep an eye out for it as she grows.

I've been going on walks with Annabelle. She likes it for a while, then she gets bored, and then she has to cry herself to sleep in the stroller.

We started our 4th of July traditions this month. I don't have pictures, but we went to the BYU Carillon concert. I always like to go each year, but some years it's hard to find out the time they put it on. This year it made it on the Wilde 4th of July program. At the beginning Annabelle was fussing, so I wrapped her up, and she just laid in my arms content listing to the bells. Eventually she fell asleep.

We also made it to the Children's parade. It's a parade where children can dress up and be in it, while other cheer them on as they walk by. It's very small. It takes about 15 minuets for the parade to walk by. But it takes about 45 minuets to walk from the start of the route to the end. Annabelle seemed to have liked it.

So my laptop broke before I could post this. So I would have had this done sooner.

 She stated to randomly grab things and hold them for a bit.

 So I've gotten in the habit of having a mug of hot chocolate and a bowl of instant oatmeal for breakfast. One morning I made the mistake for putting my oatmeal in my mug, while I waited for my water to heat up.

  Michael walked for his B.S. in Computer Science from UVU.

Annabelle and her two cosines just older than her on the Anderson side. One by 11 days and the other by 8 months.

Annabelle started her rehab for her torticollis. She is progressing quite well. She has three stretching exercises and one strengthening. We're also suppose to hold her in the football hold on our right side. Turns out my right arm is really weak. She also suppose to do quite a bit of tummy time. She getting better at doing tummy time. When she first started, it was hard for her to get past a minute. Now she lasting four minutes. She really got good at it after she learned to roll from her back to her tummy. I was looking up when babies typically learn to crawl and saw that most babies seem to learn to roll from their tummies to their backs first. Annabelle hasn't really learned that yet. I believe she has roll from tummy to back once unassisted. And that was after she had rolled onto her tummy and had the momentum to keep going.

I also realized that we named her after two Disney Princesses.

 We also blessed Annabelle while some people were here for Michael's graduation. I'm a sentimental person. I like things that have stories behind them. The dress that Annabelle was blessed in is the same one that I was. My sister was also blessed in it. My Mother made if from her wedding dress. So that dress is 40 years old. And the blanket she is on was given it her from my cosine. She made this for her baby who died before birth. She named the baby Annabelle. She put the blanket in the closet and proceed to have boys. When she heard that I named my daughter Annabelle, she thought that she should have it.

This is all the people who came to my parent's house after the blessing.

Also she has started to pull hair and take a bottle. We thought that Michael needed more bonding time, so once a day Michael feeds her breast milk from a bottle.

We've put her in the bumbo for the first time. She likes it for a little while.

She needs to get lots of tummy time. It's part of her physical therapy. She starts out liking it but then not long after she hates it. She started to get more tummy time when she learned to roll over onto her tummy.

These pictures are just so cute that I couldn't leave one out.

The incline of the chair helped her move from her tummy to her back.

I've started to do Activity Days again, and I bring Annabelle with me.

Here she is in a box with most of her blankets. Someday she'll be old enough for blankets.

She doesn't stay put anymore.
