The Next Phone call

So after being asked out on two dates, I figured it was my turn to do the asking. So after talking to a bunch of people to get up the courage and confidence, I made a plan to call Michael to ask him if he wanted to make cookies with me and what type we would make. However, I get easily distracted while on the phone so I decided I would call him while I walked to the Creamery.

So I went walking and when I got on 9th east I called him. He answered and we got talking, but before I could ask him out he says, ‘I think I see you walking’. Well, I was walking and 9th east is a busy street, so it was possible. Anyways he was driving by asked me what I was doing, I was going shopping for food, Did I want a ride back home. My thought were something along the lines of but I’m buying ingredient for the cookies were going to make for the date I haven’t ask you on yet, but I really wanted to spend some time with him. So I said sure. So Michael turned around, and we went shopping together.

I asked him on the date bought the ingredients. Made the date for the following Tuesday, and that night we made it official that we were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Another Phone Call

Well, that Friday, the 20, while I was walking to the temple with Amy, I started to hear this noise.

At first I attributed it to the traffic, but it wouldn’t go away. It was then that I realized that it was my phone, and it wasn’t family. Sure enough it was Michael. So I answered quickly. So we talked for a while. I told him that I was going to the temple. Then we hanged up. I didn’t know what to think. I don’t get calls from people just to talk. Even my mom normally has some sort of question. But Michael didn’t ask anything. So I didn’t know if it was just a phone call or if he never got around to the question.

Later he told me that Erin said that if he had a good time on the first date he should call me. She also told him that I was going to the temple. So Michael thought he would take advantage of this fact and leave me a voice mail. However, against all reason I actully answered my phone and he had to talk to me. So the one time I wan’t suppose to answer my phone I did. But he got me back later.

The beginning

The beginning of this new life of mine started with a phone call I did not answer around mid February. In fact many phone calls I would not answer. I don't have my cell phone on during the day because I'm in school. So I got home from school and I had about 3 or 4 call from a number I did not recognize. They never left a message. I had a small thought that it could be Michael because Erin had asked if she could set me up with a date with him. I told her yeah, but had never heard anything else about it. So I wasn’t sure. I even got a phone call that night but my phone was in the other room so I didn’t hear it. So the same thing happened the next day. Still no message. The next day was a Friday and I was hoping there was going to be another phone call ‘cause I was going to try my hardest to answer it. But alas there wasn’t one. The next day was Valentine’s Day and the Checketts were throwing a get together for Anthony & Heidi.

So James & Charity and I went to that. On the way there I told Charity about the mystery caller. And Lo and Behold in that loud room I actually heard my phone ring and I look and it was that strange number. So I went some place that would be quieter so I could talk, for I get easily distracted while on the phone, making it hard to talk to anyone. And it was Michael. And he asked me out on a date for the next Wednesday. But it was hard to hear because I get distracted and it wasn’t that quiet of a place, so didn’t really know what we were doing. I thought I heard miniature golf but I wasn’t that sure. But he came that and said we were going to Trafalga, so it was miniature golfing.

He picked me up around 7:30, got back around 10:30, and he left around midnight. I had a good night. Apparently he did too.
